Box Score Jeremy Vautour scored six goals and Conor Healey added nine points on five goals and four assists leading the St. Lawrence University Men's Lacrosse team to an 18-6 victory over Franklin & Marshall Saturday afternoon at Dunning Field at New Canaan High School in Connecticut.
After an even 3-3 first quarter, St. Lawrence (1-0) scored eight goals in an 8-0 second quarter to take an 11-3 lead into the break.
Vautour had two goals in the second quarter and Healy chipped in three goals and four assists during the period.
In the second half, Franklin & Marshall (0-2) snapped the eight-goal run but St. Lawrence responded with seven more goals before the Diplomats added the final two goals for the final score.
In the seven-goal run, Vautour scored three times including a shot between his legs with his back to the goal with an assist from Jamie DeNicola.
Vautour finished with seven points on six goals and one assists and Healey led the Saints with his nine points. DeNicola had three goals and an assist for four points while Charlie Duprey, Steven Peterson and Brett McCormack each scored once. Andrew Jarrett had a goal and an assist and Jordan Dow had two assists. Cam Mullins and Austin Nadeau had one assist each.
The Saints are scheduled to have their home opener March 2 against Utica College with a 4 pm game.
