Biography

2017: Healey was tabbed a preseason and midseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse Magazine, helped captain the team and started all 19 games for the Saints during his senior year. Healey netted his 27th and 28th goals of the season in the Saints 15-7 win over Skidmore and assisted on six others to take over as the all-time point scorer in St. Lawrence men's lacrosse history surpassing alumni Fran Shields '79 and previous leader Sam Hovey '87. Healey, who broke the 30-year-old record, now holds the lead with 291 career points… He finished the season with 37 goals and 42 assists for 79 points… He ranked first in the Liberty League with 2.21 assists per game, fourth with 4.16 points per game and eighth with 1.95 goals per game… He also picked up 26 ground balls and caused four turnovers…Healey scored a season-high of five goals in the win over Castleton…He was awarded Liberty League Offensive Player of the Week on March 20th… He also earned All-Liberty League First Team and All-ECAC Second Team honors and was selected to play in the DIII USILA/Nike North-South Game…Healey also earned USILA/Nike All-America Second Team and IMLCA NCAA DIII All-East Region First Team honors for the second year in a row.

2016: Healey earned his second consecutive All-America award earning the high honor from the USILA as a second-team selection … He earned his third consecutive All-Liberty League selection and was additionally voted the Offensive Player of the Year in the league … He led the Saints with 95 points on 49 goals and a team-leading 46 assists, scored four man-up goals and was sixth on the team with 44 ground balls … He matched his career high with nine points in each of the first two games of the season with five goals and four assists against Franklin & Marshall and three goals and six assists in the win over Utica College … The five goals in the opener was a season high and the season-high six assists against Utica was matched by six assists in the win at Plattsburgh … He scored 10 goals and had eight assists in the four NCAA Tournament games including three goals against both New England College and Tufts … In addition to his All-America award and Liberty League honors, he was an All-Region selection by IMCLA, the Offensive Player of the Year for the ECAC Metro/Upstate Region, an USILA preseason All-America, a two-time Liberty League Player of the Week and earned his second consecutive selection  to the Liberty League All-Academic team.

2015: Healey earned All-America honors and led the Saints offensively with 70 points on 31 goals and 39 assists … He earned First-Team All-Liberty League honor for the second consecutive year and led the league in assists while finishing second in the league in points … He started all 17 games and had goals in 14 of the 17 contests including a season-best four goals in the victory over Geneseo … His nine points (one goal and eight assists) against Vassar established career-highs for both points and assists … Scored at least two goals in six consecutive games from the Middlebury game through the Union regular-season game … Finished third on the team with 44 groundballs … Earned the Liberty League Offensive Player of the Week award three consecutive weeks (3/23, 3/30 and 4/6) … Earned the St. Lawrence star of the week the same three consecutive weeks … Earned Liberty League All-Academic honors.

2014: Healey earned First-Team All-Liberty League honors and was the Liberty League Rookie of the Week twice (Mar. 24 and Apr. 14). He led the Saints in scoring as a freshman with 47 points as he was tied for the team lead with 16 assists and was second on the squad with 31 goals. He scored the game-winner in the season-opening win over Babson and had a season-best five goals in the win over Clarkson. He also scored four goals each against Middlebury, Union and Plattsburgh. His six points against Plattsburgh and again against Clarkson were season highs.  He was named the Saints Star of the Week for March 24.

Prior to St. Lawrence
Healey was a tri-sport athlete, competing in lacrosse, basketball and country country while earning a spot on the honor roll.  He was chosen a US Lacrosse All-American and was a First Team selection for All-New England, All-State and All-Central Massachusetts.  Healey, who captained the cross country team, was also the league and team Most Valuable Player.
