Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 March 15: The St. Lawrence baseball team got off to a 2-1 start through its first two days of competition in Fort Myers, Fl., beating Dubuque 13-1 on Saturday afternoon and splitting a doubleheader with Plymouth State University 13-4 (L) and 19-6 (W).

Chris Fernandez and Isaac Lewis each had three hits for the Saints in Saturday's win over Dubuque, while Kyle Liszewski led the team with four runs scored.

The game was tied at 1-1 heading into the fifth inning before the Saints broke it open. They scored three runs in the fifth and sixth, four in the seventh and tacked on two more in the ninth to reach the eventual 13-1 margin.

Sam Downes got the win on the mound for St. Lawrence, pitching six innings giving up seven hits and striking out five. Ben Jenkins came on in relief to start the seventh and allowed just four hits and struck out one.

On Sunday against the Panthers, the Saints gave up nine runs in the first three innings as Plymouth State built a lead they couldn't erase. Andrew Schreyack was the pitcher of record, throwing two and two-thirds innings and giving up nine runs (four earned) on six hits while striking out three.

Devin Robson, Tyler Guido – who came in to pinch-run for Kyle MacDonald – Adam Reichel and Michael LeFevre each scored runs for the Scarlet and Brown in game one.

In the second game against Plymouth State, St. Lawrence scored nine runs in the third inning, including a three-run single by LeFevre to help build an insurmountable 13-1 lead and added six more runs over the next three innings.

The Panthers scored five without recording a hit in the seventh off of Saints pitcher Matt Phelan, but couldn't close the gap.

Alex Dermody picked up the win for the Saints giving up just three hits and one earned run in five innings pitched. Frank Grady (1 IP) and Isaac Lewis (2/3 IP) also made brief appearances on the mound.

St. Lawrence is set to face Johns Hopkins on Monday, March 16 at 12:00 p.m. in Fort Myers.
