Seniors Ellie Fritz and Sarah Oldland once again shined for the Saints as Fritz won the D singles draw and teamed up with Oldland to win the B Doubles draw to lead the St. Lawrence University women's tennis team on Day Two of the Union Invitational in Schenectady, N.Y.

In D singles, Fritz and Oldland were both in action for the semifinal round. Fritz took on New Paltz's Olivia Kunz and won 8-0, while her teammate Oldland had similar success, defeating New Paltz's Alyssa Trokie 8-0 to set up an All-Saints draw final. In the final, Fritz got the better of her doubles partner, taking an 8-3 win and the draw.

After lining up against one another, the two were on the same side for the B doubles semifinals, where they took on Ithaca's Zuri Freeman and Madeleine Sutro, winning 8-6 to advance to the final. The tandem was tasked with New Paltz's Kunz and Angelica Gabriel and ground out another 8-6 win to take the B draw.

Elsewhere in doubles play, Ariane Karera and Yvette Karera took on RPI's Kayla Wheeler and Anushka Jaiswal in the semifinal round and won a tightly contested 8-7 (7-4) match. The two were tasked with RPI's Victoria Sarabosing and Gauri Muliyil in the final and fell 8-3 to finish as runners-up.

Over in A singles, Elisa Iuri took on Union's Loden Bradstreet in the consolation 3-4 playoff and secured an 8-3 win.

It was another All-Saints matchup in the B singles consolation, where Yvette Karera and Addison Jones faced off in the final. Yvette Karera got the better of her first-year teammate with an 8-4 win.

Callie Perrin was also in action in the C draw, taking part in the consolation's 3-4 playoff against Ithaca's Ava Casell. The newcomer came through with an 8-3 win to take third in the consolation bracket.

The Scarlet and Brown will be back on the court next weekend as the team heads to Geneva, N.Y. to take part in the Mary Hosking Invitational on the campus of William Smith.
