Senior slugger
John Gannon was mashing for the St. Lawrence University baseball team this past week and was named the Liberty League's Performer of the Week for his efforts, as announced by the conference on Monday.
Gannon helped lead the team to a sweep against Clarkson and to the program's first playoff berth since 2013 this past weekend. The senior went 12-for-22 from the dish, hit three home runs in three straight games, four doubles, had six RBI, nine runs scored, and went 3-for-3 stealing bases, along with playing great defense at first base.
Gannon and the Saints are back in action on Tom Fay Field on Tuesday, April 28 at 2 p.m. as they host Plattsburgh in a doubleheader.
