The St. Lawrence University men's track and field team delivered a strong showing at the Middlebury Invitational, highlighted by five event victories and several standout performances across the track and field.
Nick Lyndaker led the way on the track, winning the 1500-meter run in a time of 3:56.06.
Erik Marelli added another victory with a personal-record performance of 15.13 seconds to take first in the 110-meter hurdles. In the distance events,
Patrick Russell claimed the top spot in the 5,000-meter run, crossing the line in 15:39.73.
The Saints were also dominant in relay competition. The quartet of
Peter Stubler,
Riley Cushman,
Cyrus Goetze, and
Cameron McNeil secured first place in the 4x400-meter relay with a season-best time of 3:34.61. In the 4x800-meter relay,
Brody Mindel,
Aidan Fay,
Luke Calvin, and Enda Stubler combined for a winning time of 8:45.44.
In the field events,
Erik Schneider earned a second-place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 47.54 meters, while
Brogan McGorray placed third with a throw of 39.43 meters.
St. Lawrence will look to build on the momentum from Middlebury as the outdoor season continues when they return home for the annual Twilight Meet. Lyndaker will be gunning for a sub-four mile at the meet.
