St. Lawrence University distance runner
Nick Lyndaker has been named the Liberty League Outdoor Track and Field Performer of the Year and the USTFCCCA Mideast Region Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, the league and track and field coach association both announced.
Lyndaker closed out his Saints career in record-setting fashion, posting a 4:03.63 mile at the SLU Twilight Invite, the 10th-fastest time in NCAA history, before competing in his final collegiate race at the NCAA outdoor championships. The senior finished ninth in the 1,500-meter run in 3:47.48, earning Second-Team All-America recognition in the event.
On the conference stage, Lyndaker swept the distance events at the Liberty League outdoor championships, claiming individual titles in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:57.26 and the 5,000-meter run in 14:35.27.
He was also honored as a USTFCCCA All-Region selection in the 1,500-meter run.
