Game 1: St. Lawrence 3, Purchase 0 (7 Innings)
The Saints found home plate first in the opening game, scoring a run in the top of the second. A single from
Willie Landman, along with an error, and a hit by pitch led to a two-out spot for Widrick with runners on first and second. He came through big, doubling a ball down the left field line to score Landman and take the lead.
St. Lawrence doubled the lead in the top of the fourth, and Landman once again got the inning going, this time with a leadoff walk. A
Max Cloutier fielder's choice, followed by a single from Widrick and a walk to
Owen McClintock led to a bases-loaded situation with two outs. A wild pitch sent Cloutier scurrying home, and he came in safe to make it 2-0.
The final run of the game came in the top of the seventh, where an error put
Eddie Morrissey on the base paths, and Gannon singled the sophomore to third base. Harris hit a long fly ball to left field and scored his teammate with a sacrifice fly.
LaPrade came in during the bottom of the sixth and got out of a jam to keep Purchase off the scoreboard. Two flyouts and a strikeout closed the game and the win for the Saints.
Game 2: St. Lawrence 5, Purchase 3 (7 Innings)
After not scoring any runs in game one, Purchase scored three in the bottom of the first to take the early lead. The decisive hit came from Frank Rega, who doubled home three runs with the bases loaded after three straight singles to start the game.
James Morr settled in on the mound and struck two batters out before forcing a fly out to end the threat.
After the early attack, Morr proceeded to pitch 3.2 innings and struck out five before being relieved by Jackson. The first-year came into the game in the bottom of the fourth with two runners on, and got a fielder's choice out to keep Purchase at bay and keep the score at 3-0.

His offense rewarded him at the top of the fifth with a pair of runs to get back into the ballgame.
Gabe Albertson led off the inning, reaching on an error, and was pinch-run by Widrick. From there, he made his speed felt as
Eoin Morrissey doubled to right field, and he scored from first base on the play. A single from
Matt Davis brought Morrissey to third, and Proffitt plated his senior teammate with a sacrifice bunt.
St. Lawrence then took the lead at the top of the sixth to put Jackson in line for the win.
Eddie Morrissey singled his way on and advanced on a wild pitch before Gannon smoked a double to left field to tie the game at 3-3. Things spiraled for Purchase as a Harris bunt single set up Finnegan, who roped a triple to right center, making it a 5-3 game.
Purchase threatened in the bottom of the seventh, but Jackson slammed the door to secure his first career win.
The Scarlet and Brown will be back on the diamond tomorrow as the team heads to Finger Lakes Community College to take on Keuka in a twin bill. First pitch is scheduled for noon from Canandaigua, N.Y.
