After defeating RIT to open Liberty League play, Molly Jespersen was named the league's Singles Performer of the Week, while she and Angelica Aksdal-Jansen were also named Doubles Team of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. 

Jespersen was strong for the Saints in singles play, taking on RIT's Kira Kronenberg at number two singles. The senior dominated to the tune of 6-1, 6-1 to help lead the Saints to a win. 

The senior tandem of Aksdal-Jansen and Jespersen played just one doubles match, but it was a good one as they lined up against RIT's Emily Greb and Kira Kronenberg at number one and won 6-2. 

Jespersen, Aksdal-Jansen, and the women's tennis team will have the week off and will be back on the court Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. when they head to Troy, N.Y. to take on RPI.
