Propelled by a victory in the long jump and a strong presence on the high jump podium, the St. Lawrence University men's track and field team utilized the Plattsburgh Sprint/Field Meet on Tuesday to sharpen their marks ahead of the postseason.
Although no team scores were recorded for the non-scoring meet, the Saints' field athletes led the way with several top-three finishes and consistent individual performances.
Erik Schneider led the way in the field, claiming victory in the weight throw with his best toss of the night, heaving one for 13.54 meters. He also had a fifth place finish in the shot put.
The Saints were particularly effective in the horizontal and vertical jumps.

On the official leaderboard, Powers claimed second place while Mahoney took third based on fewer attempts, securing a 2-3 finish for the Scarlet and Brown.
