Eboni Atherley fell 3-2 in a hard-fought match to lead the Saints, but the St. Lawrence University women's squash team fell 9-0 to Amherst on Sunday in Amherst, Massachusetts.
 St. Lawrence fell to 6-4 overall, while Amherst improved to 13-1.
Atherley, who played at number two against Anastasiia Krykun, went down 1-0 before winning the second game 12-10. Krykun took the third game to take the 2-1 lead, but Atherley once again bounced back with an 11-8 win to force a winner-take-all game. Krykun took the match with an 11-5 win to dispatch Atherley.
The rest of the matches ended in 3-0 wins for Amherst.
The Scarlet and Brown will be back on court next Friday when they head to Carlisle, Pa. to take on Dickinson at noon.
