Following a two-assist game this past week, St. Lawrence University men's hockey sophomore defender Andrew Brown has been named the ECAC Hockey Defender of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

This past Tuesday, Brown and the Saints took on LIU, and Brown helped St. Lawrence take a 2-0 lead, earning the primary assist on Owen Tylec's first career goal. Later in the game, the defender assisted on Sam LeDrew's first goal of the day for his second helper.

The sophomore is averaging a point-per-game this season with three assists and is tied atop the team stats page with six blocked shots.

Brown and the Skating Saints will have the week off from games this week and will be back on the ice on Friday, November 6, when the team hosts RPI at Appleton Arena to start ECAC play.
