A native of Wheatfield, New York, Tylec played his prep school hockey at Nichols School, where he was a key contributor down the middle…Standing at 5-11, the left-shot center spent time in juniors skating with the USHL's Chicago Steel for parts of three seasons, where he played in 116 games and had ten goals and 26 assists for 36 points...Tylec joined the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL this past season, playing in 62 games with the Buccaneers, scoring 20 goals and adding 25 assists for 45 points.
