Angel Otshabeng claimed a win at number one for the Saints, but the St. Lawrence University women's squash team ultimately fell 8-1 against Bowdoin College on Saturday afternoon in Brunswick, Maine.
St. Lawrence fell to 6-3 overall, while Bowdoin improved to 6-7.
Otshabeng went toe-to-toe with Darcy Weber in the one spot and took the first two games 11-6 and 11-5. After dropping the third match 5-11, the sophomore bounced back with an 11-2 win to take the match.
At two,
Eboni Atherley took on Eshika Tangri and took the first and third games, but her opponent took the fourth and fifth for the 3-2 win.
Mariam Dodd and
Khissaiyia Spencer were able to win one game apiece but dropped their matches 3-1.
St. Lawrence will complete their weekend trip tomorrow when they head to Massachusetts to take on Amherst College at 11:30 a.m.
