The Saints earned six sweeps and a pair of 3-1 victories as the St. Lawrence University women's squash team opened the 2026 portion of their schedule with an 8-1 win over Brown on Thursday afternoon at the Robie Squash Center.
The Scarlet and Brown improved to 5-1 on the season with the win.
In the number one match,
Angel Otshabeng dropped her first game 11-9 against Isabella Bin, but bounced back to take the next three 11-2, 11-4, 11-5 to take the match. Then at two,
Eboni Atherley and Anya Kawlekar split the first two games before Atherley won the final two games 11-8, 11-8 for the win.
Four through nine on the ladder all came through with 3-0 victories for the Saints.
At four,
Mariam Dodd took on Sarah Kim and won her match 12-10, 11-4, 11-7, then at five,
Laura Franz defeated Sydney Rains 11-3, 11-6, 11-4. In the sixth spot,
Khissaiyia Spencer made quick work of her match, winning 11-2, 11-1, 11-2 against Julia Miyasaka.
In the seventh spot,
Katherine Callaway had an identical score, winning her match 11-2, 11-1, 11-2 versus Francis Johnson. At eight,
Ksenia Merkulova faced off against Megan Dollard and won 11-1, 11-5, 11-4, and the match was capped at number nine, where
Emma Kahle defeated Celina Bao by the score of 11-4, 11-1, 11-2.
St. Lawrence will be back on court at the Robie Squash on Saturday, January 17, when the Saints host Franklin & Marshall.
