St. Lawrence University has announced the hiring of Demetre Figueroa as an Assistant Swimming and Diving Coach.

Figueroa brings experience from The Claremont Club, where he led group and private swim lessons, provided lifeguard supervision, and supported front office operations. He was selected as one of 20 coaches to lead the top 100 swimmers at the All-Star Meet Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He also served as Assistant Head Coach for Claremont High School's water polo team. Figueroa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne. As a member of the Leopards, he was a member of the men's swimming and diving team, primarily participating in middle distance races.

He also has an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Chaffey Community College, where he competed in both swimming and water polo.

He is certified in lifeguarding, CPR, first aid, and AED through the American Red Cross.
