Sophomore Shemmy Bridges was named Liberty League Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office earlier this week.

Bridges tallied a team-best nine tackles (6S, 3A), including two for the loss of seven and a sack for the loss of six, as the Saints defeated Norwich 19-3 for the battle of the Hoffman Cup on Friday. Bridges and the defense held Norwich to just a field goal. 

Clayton Fogler earned a spot on the weekly honorable mention list. He went 2-for-2 on PAT's, averaged 58.3 per kickoff and converted on a 39-yard field goal.

St. Lawrence travels to St. John Fisher for their first Empire 8 crossover game of the season on Saturday, September 13. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
