Bridges played football and was a member of the track and field team at McQuaid Jesuit. He was a two-time team captain, a Section V AA Second-Team All-League, a six-time Section V Champion, Section V Defensive Player of the Week, and D&C Player of the Week. Bridges was also a National Urban League Scholar.
