The women's track and field team put together a strong effort at the Middlebury Invitational, highlighted by an event victory, two runner-up relay finishes, and several personal and season-best performances.
Carly Zack captured the team's lone event win, taking first in the 3000-meter run with a time of 12:09.86. Amelia Berthold had a standout day individually, finishing second in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal-best 16.54 and placing sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:09.53, also a personal best. She added a third-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.41 meters.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Isla Bougard-Duncan, Caelan McHarney, Samantha Legate, and Lydia Wamsganz placed second with a season-best time of 51.05.
In the 4x400-meter relay, the quartet of Nicole Jeffrey, Cameran Stone, Quinn Sirgany, and Nora Graves also secured second, crossing in a season-best 4:47.67.
Cameran Stone turned in a strong individual performance as well, finishing third in the 800-meter run with a season-best 2:30.57.
In the field events, Caroline Hines placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 9.49 meters.
