Jimmy King shot four over par to lead the St. Lawrence University men's golf team in round one of the Farmingdale State Invitational at the par-70 Bethpage State Park Golf Course in Farmingdale, N.Y. on Saturday afternoon.

King shot two birdies and shot par on 10 holes to end round one with a 74 to tied for 35th place. Sam Lyman finished with three birdies and tied for 51st with a 76 and Kevin Dillon shot a 77 and tied for 60th.

Ben Scholes tied for 73rd with a 79, while Gabe Ward shot a birdie on hole three and tied for 82nd with an 82.

St. Lawrence shot a combined 306 after round one to end day one of the tournament in 14 place. Rochester held down the top spot with a 282.
