Three Saints tied for 17th place, shooting one over par during round one of the highly competitive Dr. Tim Brown Invitational at the Ballston Spa and Country Club on Saturday afternoon.

Sam Lyman, Kevin Dillon and Connor Murphy all shot 72, just one over par, to tie with four other golfers and lead the Saints following round one.

Gabe Ward finished with a 76 to tie for 51st, while Jimmy King shot an 80 to tie for 82nd and Ben Scholes finished with an 85 to tie for 103rd.

St. Lawrence shot a combined 300 to tie for 10th place with Hamilton after round one. Amherst leads the team standings with a 280.
