The St. Lawrence University men's track team had multiple top three finishers across the events of the Plattsburgh Sprint/Field meet Tuesday night in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
The Saints saw some significant results come in the field, where sophomore
Michael Smigen placed second in the high jump by clearing 1.77 meters. In the weight throw, first-year Matthew Brinck grabbed second place by throwing 13.24 meters, and junior
Erik Schneider placed fourth with 12.58 meters.
 Junior
Brogan McGorray won the long jump event by jumping 6.23 meters to claim his first place finish.
In the 55-meter hurdles, first-year
Tucker Hall claimed second with his time of 8.60, while McGorray placed fourth.
In the 200-meter dash, four Saints placed in the top six with Smigen leading the way. He placed  third with his time of 24.57.
Robert Scalessa was directly behind him in fourth, while
Jack Beauchesne and
Erik Shattenberg placed fifth and sixth respectively.
Galen Halasz also competed in the mile run for the Saints, placing fifth with a time of 4:54.28. Graduate student
Brogan LaRose was also in the race for the Scarlet and Brown, crossing the line in eighth.
The Saints are back in action Friday, February 7
, where they will compete in Staten Island, N.Y, in the Fastrack National Invitational.
