The No. 22 St. Lawrence University women's squash team traveled to Washington, D.C. on Friday and fell 9-0 to the No. 14 Georgetown Hoyas.
The Scarlet and Brown dropped their first match of the season and moved to 4-1, while the Hoyas improved to 3-2.
In the one spot,
Angel Otshabeng lost her match 3-0 to Cecilia Curran with some closer scores of 11-7, 11-1, and 11-7.
Eboni Atherley had similar scores with a 3-0 loss against Ella Schoonmaker, with scores of 11-7, 11-2, and 11-5 in the match.
Senior
Madeleine Martin battled through a forty-minute-long match at the three spot against Mary Kacergis. She lost 3-0, going 11-7, 11-7, and 11-5.
The rest of the Saints also went 0-3 on the day for their first sweep on the season.
The Saints have a long break and will not play again until January 15, 2026 at 12 p.m. at the Robie Squash Center against Brown.
