Jespersen Finishes Second in the A Draw on Day Two of the Mary Hosking

Box Score Molly Jespersen advanced to the A draw Final and earned a second-place finish to highlight the St. Lawrence University women's tennis team on day two of the Mary Hosking Invitational on Sunday on the campus of William Smith College.

In the A draw, Jespersen advanced to the final after defeating Maya McDaniel 8-6 in her Semifinal matchup. She was tasked with stiff competition in the Final playing against Josephine Libby and fell 8-6.

In the D draw, after not playing yesterday due to the weather, Kate Butler won her first collegiate match beating Geneseo's Emily Rowe 6-2. The first-year would take on Dalia Mahmoud in the next round but lost to end her run.

Yvette Karera and Ellie Fritz, who both advanced to the Semifinals of the B and C draw respectively, saw their runs end today with losses in the semis.

The Scarlet and Brown will head on the road again next weekend on September 7 when the team takes part in the Union Invitational in Schenectady, N.Y.
