Brown Added to Men's & Women's Rowing Staff

The St. Lawrence University men's and women's rowing programs, along with head coaches Nick Hughes and George Repicky have announced the addition of Kathryn Brown as a graduate assistant coach for the 2024-25 season.

"We're excited to have Kathryn join our rowing staff," said Hughes. "She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the boathouse and will be an immediate and indispensable resource to our rowers and our coxswains. I know she's as excited as we all are about the upcoming year."

Prior to joining the Saints squad, Brown recently worked at the Windsor School of the Bahamas as a history and humanities teacher, a resident advisor and rowing coach in Nassau. She also worked as a history teaching fellow at Kent School, while working on her master's degree. Brown was also a curriculum associates' intern in the summer of 2021 and worked as a student teacher at Oak Hill high school.

As a student-athlete, Brown was a four-year varsity oarswoman and coxswain on the nationally ranked Bates College women's rowing team. During her time at Bates the Bobcats won an NCAA Championship in 2019 and 2021.

She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 2023 with a Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history with a minor in education from Bates College.
