The Saints were able to get wins in the six through nine spots in the lineup but were unable to pick up the fifth win as the No. 23 St. Lawrence University men's squash team fell to No. 21 Naval Academy on Friday evening in the Robie Squash Center.
The Scarlet and Brown saw their record level up at 4-4, while Navy improved to 9-6.
At the number six spot,
Hassan Madkour had a successful return to the Robie Squash Center taking down Sean Wu 3-0. Madkour went to a 12-10 match with Wu before sweeping the match with 11-6, and 11-7 wins.
At seven
Athrva Yadav took on Ramsay Killinger and won in three matches by the score of 11-6, 11-9, 11-8.
Then in the number eight spot,
Patrick Walford made quick work of his opponent Holden Woodward with 11-1, 11-5, 11-4 wins. At nine,
Gavin Cassidy earned the fourth win by default.
In the longest match of the day,
Vladimir Iglesias took on Tighe Mullarkey in the number five spot and split the first two matches 9-11, 12-10. Iglesias would take a 2-1 lead before dropping the last two matches 11-9 in the loss.
The Scarlet and Brown will be back in action tomorrow when the team hosts No. 15 Western at the Robie Squash Center at 11 a.m.
