For the 12th season in a row, the St. Lawrence women's tennis team earned All-Academic Team distinction from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), while five individuals were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the association on Wednesday morning.
Angelica Aksdal-Jansen, Caitlyn Avery, Catherine Gamble, Emily Harris, and Molly Jespersen represented the Saints in a group of 1,204 Division III women's tennis student-athletes to earn Scholar-Athlete honors for 2022-23.
In addition to 1,204 individual athlete recognitions, the ITA also named 160 women's tennis programs as All-Academic Teams this season.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the academic year.
