Edvin Strandberg and
Cole Hamilton were able to secure singles wins but the St. Lawrence University men's tennis team would ultimately fall 7-2 on the road against Vassar in Poughkeepsie.
The Saints fell to 5-5 with the loss and 1-2 in the Liberty League, while the Brewers improved to 10-3 and 4-0 in conference action.
The doubles round was close between the two teams, but Vassar came away up 3-0 winning the number one and two matches in extra points.
Strandberg earned the first win for the Scarlet and Brown against Arnav Agostinho at number three. Strandberg took the match 7-5, 6-1. At number five, Hamilton took on Ethan Mantell and secured a 6-3, 6-4 win for the team's second win.
The Saints will be back in action next Friday, April 14 when they travel to Schenectady to take on Union.
