The doubles team of
Edvin Strandberg and
John Hill-Edgar earned a hard-fought win, but the St. Lawrence University men's tennis team would fall 8-1 to Carleton College on Monday afternoon in Orlando, Florida.
St. Lawrence fell to 2-3 with the loss, while Carleton improved to 8-1.
At number three Doubles, Strandberg and Hill-Edgar took on Zach Leslie and Jack Rivkin and went to a tie breaker. The Scarlet and Brown tandem would secure an 8-7 (7-2) win over their counterparts.
Broderick Pinto and
Adam Heilbronner also went to a tiebreaker in doubles but fell 12-10 to fall 8-7. Strandberg played a tough match at number three against Yuv Kataria but lost 6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 4-10.
The Saints will be back on the court tomorrow against Luther College starting at 2:30 p.m.
