First-year
Olivia Caporale hit a hard ball up the first base line to get her first collegiate hit in the top of the fourth, but the Norse came up with a double-play to prevent any rally. In the bottom of the fifth they scored five more and the game ended 9-1.
"We had a lot of learning moments that made us better today," said head coach
Rosie Phillips. "We faced two solid teams and made some really good contact, we just weren't able to string together timely and consistent hits to keep us ahead. We're looking forward to bringing what we learned today into our games tomorrow with confidence and intention."
