The Saints attempted to comeback in the Singles portion of today's match, but the St. Lawrence University men's tennis team ultimately fell 5-4 to Skidmore on Saturday afternoon at the Newell Field House.
St. Lawrence fell to 2-2 on the year, while Skidmore went to 1-0.
In the Doubles round, the Saints went down 2-1 but were able to secure a win at three, where
Edvin Strandberg and
John Hill-Edgar took an 8-3 win over Kyle Lundberg and Jude Ogilvie.
In Singles, Strandberg earned his second win of the day as he took on Griffin Biernat at number three. Strandberg secured the 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 victory for the Saints in three sets.
At number five and six,
Cole Hamilton and
Ben Moolman were able to avenge their doubles losses. Hamilton took on Lundberg at five and won 5-7, 6-2, 6-2. Then at six, Moolman had little trouble against Ogilvie winning 6-0, 6-2.
The Scarlet and Brown will take a break in their schedule before they travel to Orlando, Florida on March 20th to take on Carleton University.
