The Saints went perfect on the day as the St. Lawrence University men's tennis team swept SUNY Oneonta 9-0 on Saturday afternoon in the Newell Field House.
The Scarlet and Brown improved to 2-1 in dual matches with the win, while the Red Dragons fell to 0-2.
St. Lawrence began their sweep in doubles where at number one
Nathan Turtledove and
Ben Moolman defeated Mason Spottek and Jacob Dornsife 8-2, then at number two,
Adam Heilbronner and
Broderick Pinto cruised to an 8-1 win. The number three matchup went by the same score as
Edvin Strandberg and
John Hill-Edgar secured an 8-1 win of their own.
In Singles, Turtledove (6-2, 6-3), Heilbronner (6-1, 7-6 (7-1)), Strandberg (6-2, 6-1), and Pinto (6-3, 6-0) all secured wins to go 2-0 on the day.
At number five and six,
Cole Hamilton and
Aidan Baracao each earned 6-0, 6-0 sweeps to close out the 9-0 win.
The Scarlet and Brown will be back in action next Saturday when they host Skidmore at the Newell Field House at 1:00 p.m.
