For the 11th season in a row, the St. Lawrence women's tennis team earned All-Academic Team distinction from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), while three individuals were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the association on Wednesday morning.
Catherine Gamble,
Emily Harris, and
Ibadat Javed represented the Saints in a group of 940 Division III women's tennis student-athletes to earn Scholar-Athlete honors for 2021-22.
Javed and Harris led the Saints with their fourth and third consecutive ITA honors respectively, while Gamble was honored for the second straight year.
In addition to 940 individual athlete recognitions, the ITA also named 125 women's tennis programs as All-Academic Teams this season.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the academic year.
