Saints Women's Tennis Drops 8-1 Match To Skidmore

Box Score Catherine Gamble won her number two singles matchup, but the St. Lawrence University women's tennis ultimately lost 8-1 to Skidmore College on Saturday afternoon in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The Scarlet and Brown fell to 2-1 on the year and 1-1 in league play, while the Thoroughbreds improved to 4-0 on the season and in Liberty League action.

The Saints went 0-for-3 in the doubles as the match turned to the singles.

Gamble, who was named Singles Performer of the Week last week in the Liberty League, backed that up with a 6-0, 4-6, 10-8 win over Skidmore's Feldman in the number two singles spot. The rest of the Saints' lineup went down in order falling 2-0 in their matchups.

The Saints will not be back in action until March 13th when the team heads to Orlando, Fl to play five matches. On Sunday the 13th, the Scarlet and Brown will take on Coe College at a time yet to be determined.
