Senior Sanna Koivumäki of the St. Lawrence University women's squash team has been selected to compete for her home country of Finland in the 2022 European Team Championships in Eindhoven, Netherlands starting April 27th and running through the 30th.

"It feels absolutely amazing to receive my first Finnish national team call for the upcoming European Team Championships," said Sanna Koivumäki "It's always been a dream of mine to get selected into Europeans and play for my country. This could not have been possible without the enormous support of St. Lawrence University and it's an honor to represent the school abroad. A big thank you goes out to the whole athletic department, the women's squash  team and especially to Coach Denne!" 

Koivumäki, an All-Liberty League selection, was a force and a constant for the Saints this season playing in the number two spot in the lineup and going 15-5, her best record to date. The senior qualified for her third CSA Individual Nationals and she has not lost a home match since the Spring of 2019.

The senior, who earned her first adult National Team call-up, will compete with Finland in the first division of the Championships.
