Meg Pruett was the only player to win a set for the Saints as the No. 20 St. Lawrence University women's squash team was swept 9-0 by No. 6 Drexel at Cornell University on Saturday afternoon.
"The women showed just how much improvement they have had since the last time we played Drexel in 2019," said head coach
Scott Denne "They pushed their opponents in every match, fought hard, and came out of the match against a top-6 team with a lot of good things to work and improve on. The match experience playing against a team of that level is important. We will be looking forward to tomorrow's match against Cornell."
The entirety of the nine-woman St. Lawrence lineup fell in 3-0 matches.
Pruett was the lone player to win a set for the Saints in her matchup against Rose Lawrence in the exhibition match. She won the opening set 11-7, then lost the next two before retiring from the match.
The Scarlet and Brown will wrap up their trip to Ithaca tomorrow at 11:00 when they take on No. 9 Cornell University.
