Morgan Misiaszek scored her second goal of the year, but the Saints could not complete their comeback attempt against Vassar and lost 2-1 on Sunday afternoon on North Country Field.
Vassar dominated the first half, putting two past goalkeeper

Early in the second half the Saints earned back-to-back penalty corners. On the second, Misiaszek sent the ball to the top of the crease, where
Suzanne L'Hommedieu sent a rocket towards the far post, where Misiazek redirected it into the cage.
The Saints' best chance to equalize came early in the final quarter.
Maggie Spire lined up to take the penalty corner and sent it to L'Hommedieu at the top of the circle. She made a lateral pass to
Maggie Green who made a hard pass to
Jenny L'Hommedieu, who put it just wide of the net.
Prior to the game, the Saints honored seniors
Cricket Barnes,
Maggie Green,
Molly Lake, and
Jenny L'Hommedieu.

Head coach Fran Grembowicz
"I'm really proud of the way the team played today, we put up a really good fight. I thought we matched what Vassar was trying to do well defensively, and offensively played our own passing game. Our seniors especially, it was great to have their last game on North Country Field be such a great battle, it could have been anybody's game today. We never quit, we fought back from two-zero to close the gap, and had some great opportunities to tie it."
