"We really jumped out to a great start tonight," said head coach Chris Well '92. "We were ready to go from puck drop. We followed up a good week of practice with one of our better periods of the year. Getting an early one was certainly on the "wish list!" RPI has been playing some very good hockey leading up to tonight so to get up 2-0 was a big plus."Â
With the Engineers on the power play, Hustler stole the puck at the blue line and scored a short-handed breakaway goal, making it 3-0 Saints with just over seven seconds remaining in the second period. Rampado made tried to make the save, but the puck trickled in between her pads.

Melissa Jefferies.
Morgan denied Jahnke again with the glove save at the 4:32 mark.
The Engineers poured on the pressure with an extra attacker in the final minutes, but the Saints held on for the win and the shutout for Morgan. Â
A timely goal short-handed goal and Lucy making some great saves got us to the win," Wells added.
