The No. 19 St. Lawrence men's hockey team is set to host Quinnipiac for a best-of-three ECAC Hockey quarterfinal playoff series this weekend at Appleton Arena in Canton, N.Y. The series opens on Friday, March 10, with puck-drop scheduled for 7 p.m.

HOW THEY GOT HERE -
The Saints received a first-round bye for the third straight season after finishing fourth in the regular season standings. Quinnipiac advanced to the quarterfinals with a pair of wins over No. 12 seed Brown in a first-round series in Hamden, Conn. last weekend. The Bobcats outscored the Bears 11-2 and won the series 2-0.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS –
The Saints posted a 1-0-1 record against Quinnipiac during the regular season with a pair of shutouts against the Bobcats. On Nov. 5,
Kyle Hayton made 25 saves en route to his record-setting 10
th career shutout to break Bill Sloan's 60-year program record.

Michael Ederer scored for St. Lawrence in the 2-0 win.
On Nov. 25 at the Friendship Four in Belfast, Northern Ireland the Saints and Bobcats played to a 0-0 tie, with Quinnipiac advancing to the tournament championships via a win in the shootout.
Kyle Hayton finished with 37 saves, while Chris Truehl made 32 stops for Quinnipiac.
