Cheyenne Young joined St. Lawrence in January of 2024 after culminating her playing career with three straight all-star seasons for Husson University. Young earned an NAC all-conference honorable mention in 2021, was named to the first team in 2022 and the second team in 2023.

Over 329 sets played, Young managed 741 kills, 156 assists and 47 service aces over her time at Husson. She also served as Eagles team captain in 2022 and 2023.

While playing at Husson, Young was active off the court among various initiatives, including serving as a board member and co-president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She attended the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum as Husson's representative in 2023.

Young's practical experience includes serving as the lead coach at NBC Camps from 2021 to 2024, where she was directly responsible for managing a group of 40-60 campers and multiple coaches. In 2023, she served as Site Director, showcasing her ability to make critical decisions and oversee camp operations effectively.

She also expanded on her leadership experience as 16U head coach for the Maine Juniors, serving in that role from 2021 to 2023.

Most recently, Young was selected as one of the college student athletes who demonstrated for presenters at the American Volleyball Coaches Association Convention in December 2023.  She was able to demonstrate for Karch Kiraly from USA Volleyball, Bruno Chateau from Japan Volleyball, and the head coaches for Xavier, James Madison, and Iowa State University.  

The native of Eagle River, Alaska graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching from Husson University in May 2023. She recently completed a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Athletic Administration online from Husson University and is currently working on her Masters of Art in Leadership at St. Lawrence University with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025.
