2016-17: Root coxed the men’s varsity four to a first place finish at Hamilton and a second varsity eight to a second-place finish at the Liberty League Championships.

2015-16: Root coxed the men’s second varsity eight to a third-place finish at the Liberty League Championships and a fifth-place finish at the New York State Championships.

2014-15: Root coxed the novice eight to a fourth-place finish at the Head of the Fish Regatta, as well as a first place finish at Rochester in the spring opener… She also assisted the novice eight to a second-place finish at the Liberty League Championships… She also coxed the novice eight to a first-place finish in the petite final at the ECAC Championships.

Prior to St. Lawrence
Root was a member of the rowing team and competed in the Rowing Youth Nationals. The Baltimore native was on the honor roll.
