Sophomore goalkeeper Zach Amato was named the Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Amato was perfect in goal for the Saints in their opening week of games, earning two clean sheets in a pair of wins over Plattsburgh State and SUNY Geneseo. The sophomore netminder stopped four shots in the first game of the season at home against the Cardinals, then stopped two more on the road against the Knights to go 2-0.  

Amato and the Saints will be back in action on Wednesday, September 8, when the team hosts SUNY Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Sandy MacAllaster Field.
