For the second time in as many weeks, sophomore goalkeeper Zach Amato of the St. Lawrence University men's soccer team has been named Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Amato was strong once again in the woodwork for the Saints, going 135 minutes of scoreless soccer. His week began against SUNY Canton, where he played for the first 45 minutes and stopped the only shot he faced. On the weekend against SUNY Oneonta, he faced 11 shots, made six saves, and earned his third clean sheet of the season. 

Amato and the Saints will be back on the pitch on Wednesday, September 16 when the team heads to Cortland, N.Y. for a big matchup against SUNY Cortland.
