Zoe Rogan scored a late second-half equalizer as the St. Lawrence University women's soccer team battled back for a 1-1 draw against Skidmore on Saturday afternoon at Wachenheim Field in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
The tie pushes St. Lawrence's unbeaten streak to seven games (3-0-4).
The Saints moved to 3-1-4 overall and 0-0-1 in Liberty League play, while the Thoroughbreds moved to 2-2-2 overall and 0-1-1 in conference action.
Skidmore came out on the front foot and generated several early chances.
Reagan Murphy was tested early in goal, making saves on attempts from Ellianna Caporusso and Olivia Chandler to keep the match scoreless through the opening 10 minutes.
The Thoroughbreds eventually broke through in the 15th minute. Olivia Chandler found Abby Lewis, who scored her third goal of the season to give the home team a 1-0 advantage.
St. Lawrence struggled to generate offense in the opening half and managed just one shot, a 31st-minute try from Rogan, as Skidmore carried its 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Saints emerged from the break with renewed energy and began to tilt the field in their favor.
St. Lawrence outshot Skidmore 11-5 in the second half and repeatedly tested goalkeeper Sophia Sayers.

Kiki D'Anza, and Rogan were turned away by Sayers as the Saints continued to push for the equalizer.
The breakthrough finally came in the 83rd minute. Just seconds after checking back into the match, Rogan created space on the edge of the 18-yard box and hoisted a strike over the keeper for her fourth goal of the season to tie the score at 1-1. The unassisted tally proved to be the equalizer.
The Saints continued to apply pressure in the closing minutes. D'Anza and
Barrett Freeman each put shots on target late, but Sayers made the saves as the match finished in a draw.
Murphy finished with two saves for St. Lawrence, while Sayers stopped six shots for Skidmore.
The Saints held a 12-14 disadvantage in shots but put seven shots on goal compared to three for the Thoroughbreds. Skidmore held a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.
St. Lawrence will be back on the field on Tuesday, September 29, for their final non-conference match of the year. The team will head to Clinton, N.Y., to take on Hamilton in a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
