St. Lawrence University football punter Rory McGuire has been named Liberty League Special Teams Performer of the Week for the period ending September 20, the conference office announced Monday.

McGuire had his longest punt of the season in the Saints' contest against Alfred, booting one for a career-high 53 yards. He had a 50-plus yarder for the second consecutive game, and landed two punts inside the Saxons' red zone. He had 211 total yards on five points for an average of 42.2 yards. 

The Saints return to action against Ithaca in their conference opener on Saturday, September 26.
