Senior
Abby Hehl has been named the St. Lawrence University women's hockey captain for the upcoming 2026-27 season, with senior
Kennedy Emerson, junior
Halle Mules, and senior
Riley Reeves and will be wearing the 'A's, as alternate captains for the Scarlet and Brown.
"We have been very fortunate to have the leaders we have had at SLU," said head coach
Chris Wells. "This year is no exception to that list."
"Abby brings a ton of energy and passion to our team. She was able to learn and grow as a leader last season and will be able to carry that over to this year's young team. Riley, Kennedy and Halle all bring their wonderful personalities as alternate captains."
Hehl, who served as an alternate captain last season, tallied three goals and six assists for nine points, while both Reeves and Emerson led the defense blocking 57 and 40 shots respectively. Emerson also recorded three goals and five assists, while Reeves added three helpers and Mules blocked seven shots.
"It is nice to have each of them recognized for the roles they will have," Wells added. "Each year the leadership brings new ideas and energy. One of the many great things about college sports and specifically our team!"
