First-year hurler
Nathan Jackson had a strong week for the St. Lawrence University baseball team, and as a result was recognized as the Liberty League Rookie of the Week.
Jackson continues to be a key arm for the Saints as he made two appearances this week, helping the team to the sweep of Rochester. The newcomer pitched eight total innings this week, giving up no earned runs on seven hits, and struck out a team-high seven batters. Jackson was key in the team's extra-innings win on Sunday, pitching seven innings in relief and earning the win.
Jackson and the Saints will be back on Tom Fay Field on Wednesday, April 8, when the team hosts VTSU Castleton at 3:30 p.m.
