With a full team effort, the St. Lawrence University men's lacrosse team defeated SUNY Potsdam 18-7 in a Tuesday afternoon tilt at North Country Field.
Thirteen different Saints found the back of the net, led by
Jamie Rosenzweig and
Daniel Mahoney. Mahoney tallied two goals and three assists, while Rosenzweig recorded a hat trick and an assist.
David Herlihy recorded his first goals of the season, while he and
Ted Wilson also finished with two goals.

Will Harris,
Cam Croasdaile,
Drew Knight,
Patrick Murray,
Charlie DeMore,
Liam Flaherty and
Asa Beach each scored once. Harris notched his first of the season, while DeMore and Flaherty recorded their first career goals.
Knight also picked up six ground balls and caused a team-high four turnovers, while
William Abplanalp went 11-for-19 in the faceoff circle and also grabbed six ground balls.
Michael Miele and
Quin Fedor caused two turnovers apiece.
Rosenzweig opened scoring just 12 seconds into the game and was quickly followed up by long poles
Sam Wade and Knight, who combined to make it 2-0 just 27 seconds later. The Bears made it 2-1, before the Saints closed the first quarter with three straight for a 5-1 lead after the first quarter.
St. Lawrence went 3-0 in the second quarter to cruise to a 8-1 lead at halftime.
SUNY Potsdam's Rowisonkies Barnes scored the first goal of the third, but the Saints outscored the Bears 5-2 to head into the fourth quarter with a 13-3 advantage.
Wilson and Herlihy tallied back-to-back goals to make it 15-3, and despite four goals for a fourth-quarter push from the Bears, the Saints finished off with an 18-7 final after scoring another five goals in the final quarter.
"That was a nice effort all the way around," said head coach
Mike Mahoney. "It was good to get some different names on the stat sheet, and we got solid defense and goaltending as well."
Braydon Goddard led the Bears with four goals.
Heath Mann picked up his first career win with 13 saves, while Saka Thompson made 21 for Potsdam.
The Saints led in shots on goal (39-21), ground balls (34-24), faceoffs (16-11), and caused turnovers (14-4), while the Bears went 2-for-7 on the man up.
SLU improved to 7-3 on the season, while SUNY Potsdam fell to 5-3.
"We are right back into the league schedule this weekend and will need to be at our best on the road in Troy," Mahoney added.
St. Lawrence returns to Liberty League play with a trip to RPI this Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
