Prior to St. Lawrence

Persinger was a two-sport athlete at Darien High School, earning seven varsity letters in hockey and lacrosse. He served as a captain for both teams and was awarded the Wes Barton #12 jersey in lacrosse. As a senior, he helped his team reach the state finals, posting a .62 save percentage and earning Co-MVP honors, along with All-State Division I Honorable Mention recognition. Persinger was a part of the Wave Strong Club and the Student League at Darien.
