St. Lawrence University softball pitcher
Marleigh Monroe has received a tip of the cap after a strong start to her season at THE Spring Games in Clermont, Fla., earning Liberty League pitcher of the week honors following her three-win stretch over the past seven days.
Monroe threw 24 innings pitched over four appearances at the Games, posting three complete games in that span and compiling a stellar 1.75 earned run average, along with a miniscule 0.92 walks/hits per innings pitched. The right-hander scattered just 10 hits over that span, and allowed only six earned runs. She walked six and struck out 16, while also not allowing a home run over a large sample of work.
St. Lawrence opens their conference season on Saturday, April 4, when they head to Clarkson.
